When you sow a seed of doubt,
There grows a sapling of suspicion,
Branching into a tree of mistrust,
Bearing blossoms of misgivings,
And fruits of hatred.
In such a tree’s shadow,
Even grass doesn’t grow,
And the nightingales which once on its fruit had fed,
Turn vile raptors,
And can trill no more.
