Sagar is a noted author, television anchor, and astronautics expert. He is the recipient of the World Environment Day Hero award by the United Nations, the Rotary International Literature Award, the Governor's Award (Odisha), the StoryMirror Author of the Year 2019 and the Most Admired Writer and Young Scientist Award'18.
