Lord Ganesha’s third avtaar is of Mahodara who overpowered Mohasura, the demon of Confusion and Delusion. Once Shiva was sunk in meditation for ages and showing no signs of coming out of it. Parvati, therefore, assumed a charming form and wandered around his meditating spot. Shiva was brought back to a wakeful state by this act and she abandoned the charming ‘cover’.
