Jai Jagannath!

Today listen to the innumerable leelas of Mahaprabhu with Jaydev Goswamiji.

Leela 1:

While Jaydev Goswamiji was composing Geet Govind, he reached a shloka depicting Shri Krishna surrendering to Shri Radhe's Overwhelmed, he left his writing incomplete for a bath in the Ganga. Jagannathji Himself came as Jaydevji and completed that half written shloka.

When Jaydevji came after his bath he found this shloka:

स्मर्गराल खण्डनं मम शिरसि मण्डनं

देही पद पल्लभं  उद्धारम्

श्री राधे देही मे पद पल्लवं उद्धारम्

I bow down to Sri Radha. Even though I am the Supreme Lord, I Pray to Sri Radha to deliver me.

Leela 2:

The Gajapati disapproved Geet Govind being recited to Jagannathji, so he ordered that his composition, Abhinav Govind should be recited instead.

At night, the Pujaris kept Geet Govind and Abhinav Govind in front of the Lord. Next morning they saw Abhinav Govind scattered around and Geet Govind close to Prabhu's chest.

But the Lord included twelve shlokas from Abhinav Govind in Geet Govind and honoured the Gajapati.

Leela 3:

Once Gajapati, stopped Geet Govind recitation in the Sri Mandir. Jagannathji became sleepless and disturbed.

One morning, Lord heard his favourite recitation far off and ran towards the voice leaving His clothes torn and body bruised. Pujaris saw the condition of Prabhu and realised Lord's agony.

The Gajapati realised his folly and ordered to resume the recitation of Geet Govind in Sri Mandir.

Leela 4: Rupa Goswami ji teaches the criteria to attract the Lord.

Age (Prahlad Maharaj), Knowledge (Gajendra), Beauty (Kubja), Money (Sudama) are not needed to please God.

The only criteria to attract the Lord is love.

Leela 5 :

Jaydev Goswamiji desired to get Geet Govind inscribed on Jagannathji's saree. He went to an artist who agreed to write the whole composition if Goswami ji would dictate the shlokas.

The work began but when the description of Ras Leela was being narrated, Goswamiji fainted out of high emotions.

Jagannathji came as Krishna Dev. He recited the the remaining shlokas and the artist completed the saree. When Jaydevji regained senses, he realised that Lord came Himself to finish the task!

Leela 6:

A King invited Jaydev Goswamiji to his court for reciting Geet Govind. The audience was elated and the King gave precious gifts to Goswamiji.

The court also had four thieves who saw monetory gifts with Goswamiji and robbed him while he was on his way to Sri Puri Dhaam. They also mercilessly cut off his hands and threw him in a well.

Next time the same theives performed as artists and Goswamiji requested the King to honour them.

The shameless theives alleged Goswamiji to be one like them. Prithvi Maa couldn't tolerate this and swallowed them. Goswamiji prayed to Jagannathji to give the thieves their life back. The Lord fulfilled this wish and Jaydevji also got his hands back.
