A very happy Women’s day to all the wonderful ladies out there. For this special episode on the occasion of International Women’s Day we have a very special guest with us, Dr Anuradha Balaram. She is the First Chief Economic Adviser to the State Planning Board, Government of Kerala. She is a Post Grad. in Economic Honours from Madras university, MPhil from University of Manchaster and PhD from IIT Delhi. She joined Indian Economic Services in year 1986. Her husband Mr Ajit Balaram has worked in Merchant Navy and presently working as Mooring Master. They have a daughter who is a Graphic Designer. We talked about: i. Impact of being a Working Mom on development of children. ii. How a working mom can create a support system to manage work and home? iii. How working and non-working moms can complement each other? iv. The skill set working women need to have to succeed in contemporary times. v. Finding your own identity and how not to let it bury under societal pressures.
