My Dream
My Dream
Fast asleep in my bed,
On the pillow was my head.
Drifted away I was to sleep,
After a really long weep.
Then I was in a dream,
But not about cakes and cream.
There I stood in a land so yellow,
Where mountains were made of marshmallow.
People there were dressed in bright lilac,
And they had wings on their back.
The posies bloomed in full flair,
And the sun had a beautiful glare.
The sky was filled with birds so cheerful,
The men there were as strong as a bull.
Elegant ladies fluttered by,
As I watched with an arousing sigh.
But then I heard a loud thud!
Which closed all the flowers to a bud.
The amazing place I could see no more,
As I found myself on my bedroom floor.
Staring at the ceiling, then I sat right up,
And gave my head a little rub.
As I heard my mum's wake-up scream,
I realized that it was all just a dream!!!
