To The Little Me....
To The Little Me....
Those were the days
When I played all day
In the mud sportively
Stiffless mind and body
Getting dirty
But heart remained pure
I want to play like that again...
I want to be a child again...
Those were the days
Filled with mom' scolding
Papa' pampering
Grand pa' toffees
Grand maa's stories
Figuring the story in my fantasy world
I want to lose myself in those stories again...
I want to be a child again...
Those were the days
When I fought with my bro
Either for a chocolate
Or for a colour box
And then painting together.
Playing various dramas
Dancing together madly
Quarreling and then the drama
Of fake crying
I want to fight with him again...
I want to be a child again...
Those were the days
When Mom used to feed me
But my countless tantrums
Inspite of all those
She fed me with all love and care.
Sleeping my granny's lullaby
Waking up with her morning prayer
I want to listen all those again...
I want to be a child again...
Those were the days
When the enthusiastic me getting ready for school
Morning assembly, daily thoughts and talks
Game period being the most favourite one
And the terror of getting punished
May it be getting out of class
Or a knee down in the field
Breaking a roti into many parts
Sharing lunch and fun
I want to go to school again...
I want to be a child again...
Those were the days
When I was enjoying life
Unknown to what life is
The innocent heart craved for growing older
To leave school
And dreaming to join a college
And now being at college
I want to go to school again...
I want to be a child again...
