Story
Story
Every night my child before going to sleep
While asking for a story, from the blanket he would peep
Sure with a smile, I start narrating
And next day morning he would give it a rating
We shared stories of far and near
Of humans and beasts of love and fear
Stories from folks that had survived ages
Stories that sometimes even escaped from the cages
Some stories took days to be told
Even more days and nights for the mystery to unfold
Some stories I had began
My child would take it further, however, she can
Some others were left halfway
For until we grow to complete them someday
Stories were such short and so long sometimes
That the story also wished could it be served with limes
But don’t know once it happened so funnily
My child asked for the tiniest story possibly
A story that began and end at ‘I’
Each of us is a story, how could he deny!
