Beautiful Rifiki

In the month of May

On a sunny day

Near bundle of hay

I saw Rifiki first

Suffering from thirst

Small Rifiki was very cute

Sat on the mat of jute

Its hairs were soft like silk

Slept after having some milk

Rifiki is a species rare

Seldom found in zoo or fare

Not a monkey not a cat

By mistake left its habitat

Ran and escaped from there

Now was safe under my care

Its skin was fair

I combed its hair

Everywhere in my house

It jumped like a lovely mouse

Entered in my study chamber

Like any family member

Went to the kitchen

Then came in the hall

Sat on the bed 

On my call

It was very quick

Jumped to see ice-cream brick

Was fond of Idli and Dosa 

Also loved eating Samosa

With its teeth

Pulled my sheet

Beautiful creature

You would love to meet

I kissed on its head

In my lap on the bed

It started licking on my palm

Under the fan it felt calm

Its acts were very funny

Day was getting less sunny

I gave it some sprout

In evening took it out

Rifiki was a living toy

Filled my life with joy
