Indrani Talukdar has four books to her credit, besides a novelette and a book of children’s short stories. Her first book, WHEN THE LAMPS WERE LIT, published in 2008, appeared as an e-book serialized by indianwoman.com based in San Jose, California.
The author’s second book – THE SOUND OF SECRECY – was published in print by LiFi Publishers (New Delhi) in 2016. It was selected by the National Book Trust for various book fairs and literature festivals including the Warsaw International Book Fair, Indonesian International Book Fair, Teheran and Abu Dhabi book fairs, and the London Book Fair.
Her third book, THE COLOUR OF POPLARS, is a mystery based on true incidents of bride trafficking in India. It has been published by Spring Books.
Her fourth book, printed by Pothi.com, THE SONATA OF SECRETS, is another musical thriller and was nominated as “Editor’s Choice”.
A Masters in Communication Studies from RMIT University (Melbourne), Indrani won a Rotary Exchange Fellowship to Argentina in 1998 and First Prize at the Greater Dandenong Short Story Writing Competition (2003) in Australia. One of her short stories was selected for publication by the Rajasthan State Board in 2014 and her poem - THE RIOT - was ranked Number 1 Star Finalist in the Voices.Net International Poetry Contest in 2012. Her short story THE DOWRY was long-listed by the Britain-based 2019 OWT short fiction competition.
