Poet, Abdur Rahman Raasu, was born in Keramatpur village of Subarnachar Upazila in Noakhali district. From an early age, his deep fascination with language, nature, and human life laid the foundation of his literary journey. He began writing during his student life and gradually established his own creative voice through rhymes, poetry, short stories, and essays.
His writings have been regularly published in various national and regional magazines, literary supplements, and contemporary newspapers. Besides being a writer, he is actively involved in editorial work. He currently serves as the editor of *Masik Ojona Poth*, the regional newspaper *Amader Meghna*, and *Saptahik Alor Jhilik*. In addition, he continues to engage with a wider readership by writing regularly on different online blogs.
He completed his Master’s degree in English Literature from Noakhali Science and Technology University. Although he is professionally working as a banker, literature remains his true passion and creative pursuit. His writings reflect social realities, human emotions, changing times, and the voices of marginal lives, while his simple yet profound language gives him a distinctive place among contemporary young poets.
