She is a mother of two children, and currently studying towards her English Literature and Creative Writing degree. Her favorite poetry book is 'To The Moon: An Anthology of Lunar Poetry' by Carol Ann Duffy. Her favorite novel is 'Great Expectations' by Charles Dickens. She has always had a huge enthusiasm for poetry since she was a little girl despite having no other writers in her family. Katie is one of eleven children, the second eldest out of her siblings. She has had many of her poems included in anthologies including 'Ink Spills' by Yourheartbeatsstrong.
