This episode of Globalocal Talks features Urvashi Butalia, a feminist writer, publisher and activist. She set up India’s first exclusively feminist publishing house, Kali for Women in 1984. In 2003, she founded Zubaan Books, an imprint under Kali for Women. In this podcast, she talks about her journey from being a feminist to have her own publishing house. She also talks about gender discrimination, rape and violence against women. She is one of the strongest voices of the Indian Feminist Movement.
