Every time a child dies, so does a mother. A mother dies when her child is sacrificed on the national borders, on the alter of 'holy' crusades, on instances of feticide. She dies when she has to abandon the life inside her, because no one will stand by her motherhood. And yet, we cry for wars, killing for honor - we choose feticide over gender. We choose mundaneness and superficial security, social status over love.
