YOUR 30-DAY WRITING JOURNEY 📝

Romantic November: One Prompt at a Time

Each day's prompt will help you move your story forward. Connect your entries, develop your characters, and create a love story that unfolds throughout November.

WEEK 1: THE BEGINNING OF US ❤️

Day 1 — A November to Remember

Introduce your protagonist, their world, and what they believe about love. What are they looking for, and what have they given up on?

Day 2 — An Unexpected Encounter

Your protagonist meets someone who wasn't part of their plans. Describe their first meeting and the detail that makes it unforgettable.

Day 3 — First Impressions Can Lie

Something about this person is completely different from what your protagonist expected. What surprises them?

Day 4 — The First Message

A text, social media message, or unexpected note brings them together again. Who reaches out first, and what do they say?

Day 5 — A Little Too Much Eye Contact

Write a scene where attraction becomes difficult to ignore, even though neither person is ready to admit it.

Day 6 — The Almost-Date

They spend time together under circumstances that feel suspiciously like a date. What goes right, and what goes hilariously wrong?

Day 7 — The Moment I Noticed You

Write the first moment one character realises that this connection might mean more than they intended.

WEEK 2: CATCHING FEELINGS 💌

Day 8 — Our Little Thing

Give the two characters an inside joke, a shared ritual, or a small tradition that belongs only to them.

Day 9 — The Side of You No One Sees

One character reveals a vulnerable side they usually keep hidden. How does the other respond?

Day 10 — If This Were a Movie

Write a romantic scene your characters would replay in their minds: a rainy walk, a late-night conversation, a shared song, or something entirely unexpected.

Day 11 — The Almost-Confession

One character nearly admits their feelings but stops at the last moment. What holds them back?

Day 12 — A Name from the Past

Someone or something from one character's past resurfaces, revealing a detail that changes how the other sees them.

Day 13 — The First Flicker of Jealousy

An innocent interaction sparks jealousy or insecurity. Let the characters react in ways that reveal what they truly feel.

Day 14 — The Kiss That Changes Everything

A kiss, an almost-kiss, or a moment of undeniable closeness shifts their relationship. What happens immediately afterwards?

WEEK 3: WHEN LOVE GETS COMPLICATED 💔

Day 15 — What Are We?

One character wants to define the relationship. The other isn't sure they're ready. Write the conversation neither can avoid.

Day 16 — The Truth I Hid

Reveal a secret, fear, past heartbreak, or personal circumstance that one character has been hiding.

Day 17 — Read Between the Lines

A message is misunderstood, a conversation is overheard, or an important detail is discovered too late. How does it change things?

Day 18 — The Fight We Couldn't Avoid

Let the characters have their first real argument. Make both sides understandable, even if neither handles it well.

Day 19 — The Silence After Goodbye

They stop talking, drift apart, or choose to spend time away from each other. Show what the absence feels like.

Day 20 — The Unsent Message

One character writes a message they cannot bring themselves to send. What do they wish they could say?

Day 21 — The Moment Everything Could End

An unexpected revelation or life-changing decision threatens their future together. Give your story its biggest turning point yet.

WEEK 4: CHOOSING EACH OTHER 💕

Day 22 — What I Finally Understood

Apart from each other, both characters begin to understand what went wrong and what they truly want.

Day 23 — The Unexpected Ally

A friend, family member, or stranger offers advice or reveals information that changes the situation.

Day 24 — A Gesture That Says It All

One character makes a meaningful gesture to show they care. It doesn't have to be grand; it just has to matter.

Day 25 — Face to Face

The characters finally meet again. Write the conversation they've been avoiding, including the things that are difficult to say aloud.

Day 26 — The Choice Between Fear and Love

One character must make a difficult choice. Will they protect themselves from getting hurt, or take a risk on love?

Day 27 — If We Start Again

The characters consider giving the relationship another chance. What needs to change for them to move forward?

Day 28 — Our Kind of Forever

Show what a future together might look like. Make it personal to these characters, not just a perfect romantic fantasy.

Day 29 — The Last Thing I Need to Tell You

Bring back a detail, promise, message, or object from an earlier part of the story. Let it gain new meaning before the ending.

Day 30 — The Story We Chose

It's time for the final chapter! Give your characters a satisfying conclusion that reflects everything they've experienced. It can be a happy-ever-after, a hopeful new beginning, a bittersweet goodbye, or an unexpected twist.

Thirty days. Thirty prompts. Your story, your imagination, your ending.
