The Villain Arc

The Bible says the devil was once an angel too, before he fell. Every story has a villain, and we want to know their side of the story. Give us a short story and make the villain the hero. Tell us their mind, their actions, the reason behind their actions, and why their objectives make sense to them.

Contest Rules

• Theme: Write a short story about a villain or form a villainous character, expressing their side of the story.
• Word Limit: 1000–2000 words (3 days).
• Genre: Dark fiction, Drama, Fantasy.
• Requirements: The main character must be a villain or have a "villain arc."
• Originality: The story must be original and fictional.
• Language: English or Hindi.
• Guidelines: * Avoid naming or criticizing specific organizations or individuals.
• Content must be respectful and constructive in tone.
• Only one entry per participant is allowed.
• Finality: The decision of StoryMirror will be final and binding on all participants.
• Entry Fee: There is no participation fee.
