My father, a master of a village school,
Taught English & science, by a simple rule.
The lives of birds and beasts and trees,
Filled with his wisdom and with ease.
But in his books of English lore,
My young heart yearned to learn more.
My first job was, in a land afar,
Beneath Bhutan's adventurous star.
I taught my class with youthful might,
And life was filled with thrilling light.
I'd read the rhymes my father penned,
My spirit soared, my heart would mend.
And so, even today, I still find peace,
In writings, my soul finds solace. Read less
