The Secret Life of Objects

Like the film The Secret Life of Pets, but this time with objects! Pick an object of your choice—for example, a pen, mirror, shoe, etc.—and give us a one-page story from that object’s perspective. You can speak about the object’s life from its POV or put the object through its own unique journey.

Contest Rules

• Theme: Write a short, light-hearted, and interesting story from the POV of a non-living object. Give us their story!
• Word Limit: 250–500 words (approximately 1 page).
• Genre: Humor, Slice of Life.
• Requirements: Your story must include one or multiple objects; only non-living beings allowed.
• Originality: The story must be original.
• Language: English or Hindi.
• Guidelines: * Avoid naming or criticizing specific organizations or individuals.
• Content must be respectful and constructive in tone.
• One entry per participant.
• Finality: The decision of StoryMirror will be final and binding on all participants.
• Entry Fee: There is no participation fee.
