Karma

I was waiting for the next metro at Rajiv Chowk. The passenger information system displayed one minute for the arrival of next train.

A pregnant lady was standing behind me followed by around fifteen to twenty people. The train came and everyone boarded the train one by one. The lady searched for vacant seat but couldn't find one. A young man saw her and offered his seat. The lady felt overwhelmed by the gentleman's gesture.

Soon the next stop came and an old man sitting beside the lady stood to get off the train. Everyone around the old man tried to grab the seat but the lady threw her handbag over the seat and asked the gentleman to occupy the space. For a moment they tried to object the lady but the lady reasoned them with her genuine smile. The gentleman occupied the seat and everyone gave her a big smile and celebrated humanity.
