Painful Wisdom

Life was going good. I was eating whatever I like, despite onion prices going sky high. I was enjoying life. Then one day, I got up in the morning, It was a chilly wintery morning, I felt a lump in my mouth, I quickly took out my pocket mirror out and looked.

There was a blister on the left side of my mouth, I could see a small bulging out little white thing, trying to make way at the top light corner place. It was a wisdom tooth. It looked like a small child who is different and unwanted but is struggling to blend in with other children. My unlucky wisdom tooth was the same. It was struggling to become friends with other teeth. Aaah! What is wrong? My friend asked. 

My wisdom tooth is coming out. I said with a teary eye.

Go get checked. It is not that painful. 

No! I will be fine. I replied.

(I am very scared of dentists, doctors, and medicines)

It wasn't fine. I cried myself to sleep the whole night with pain. I finally took a pain killer and slept. 

The next morning, I visited a dentist. 

We will have to take it out. She said politely.

Is there no other way? I asked. ( There was sadness in my voice)

No dear! This tooth is hitting your skin and you have developed a mouth blister. 

We have to do a mini surgery and get this tooth out. It does not belong here.

I guess that is what life is you cannot force yourself where you don't belong. 

You will be kicked out.

However, suddenly this toothache became an ordeal and this painful wisdom tooth removal surgery was my greatest fear.
