"Khallid! Are you alright?" asked Dilraba, his lovely sister. He was still sobbing with deep breaths at intervals. He felt a heavyweight near his throat, a cold chilling sensation went down his spine. A taste of death lingered in his mouth, a punch of conscience hit him right on the face. His heart was filled

with bitter disgust. Thunderbolts and the storm outside were just the representatiom of his wavy mind state. 'Dilraba ', said he, 'I am so sorry, extremely sorry. All my life I thought you as a criminal. I thought that our mom is in vegetable condition because of you. I thought that you were unlucky, I thought you as the one to bring misfortunes to our family. But I realised today that it's not the case. Please forgive me, if you can. ' Dilraba replied ' Dear brother, though I knew what you thought of me I was never angry on you. I never allowed you to open the door of this attic, just because I knew that you would undergo a huge mental turmoil after reading this letter, before the right time.

The car accident was actually caused by my tantrums, that I was throwing on my mom, which made her bit careless. But do you know that the accident was not severe?'. Khallid was not in a state to ask the next obvious question. So she continued ' Our mom was diagnosed with rare nerve disease, but she never disclosed it to us. Our father was not even a bit interested in her treatment and was determined to not even spend a penny on her. The letter in your hand was written by her in her last days of consciousness and asked me to keep it in the attic and to give it to you on your 21st birthday. She never filled for divorce, just for our sake. If she would have done it, you would not have got the ownership of our Father's company, as she knew that he would not take our custody. . ' Khallid interrupted, 'How can I own the company? The company is worthless to me since its money was of no use in my mom's treatment... '

Dilraba intervened 'But if you don't take the ownership of the company, all her agony would find no solutions. Her dad actually owned this company. But when our mom got married, the company was inherited to our father with some terms and conditions. The first term said that as soon as a son would be born to them and would turn 21, the company would be inherited to him. The second term said that if our Father divorced our mom after the birth of son, he would get 10% of the company's property and rest would be in the hands of director board. All the members in the board are corrupted and would have misused the property. Since our grandfather died after their marriage, our mom would not have got a single penny. She knew that without any money she was not able to do the charity works for the education of underprivileged kids.

Grandpa was a simple minded orthodox man and believed our Father to be gentleman. As he was a conservative man, he thought that girls know nothing of business, they are meant for household works. But he supported the charity works of our mom. Grandpa mentioned the terms and conditions of inheritance in his will and gave the property to our dad. Besides, dad never filed for a divorce because of his selfish reasons. He is a man of no morality. Not only that, he loves to splurge money and to live an extravagant life. After divorce he would be left with little money. Besides, if he would continue this relationship, he can be benefitted from your money. ' Dilraba took a deep breath and continued 'Though doctor said that our mom is in a vegetable state, that is not the case. She needs a complex surgery, which is possible only when you own the company and pay for the treatment. '

A long silence of grief prevailed in the room. The silence was broken at a missed call on Khallid's phone. Dilraba hold his hands and said pointing out at the sky 'Look how lovely the sky looks after rain at dusk. It's yellow, the favourite colour of our mom. The sky is tinged with rainbow. Time might be pointing out your duty. In few days you would turn 21, and you must do anything to save her. Legend says that those who can see the rainbow after a heavy rain would be bestowed with fortune from the heaven. I hope it's a fortune for her. Her charity work is to be undertaken by you. 'Let's celebrate the dusk by visiting her NGO 'Ray of Hope '

'Khallid agreed and went there with her, knowing that with every second, he was going very close to the day, when his mom would wake up.
