Fact : Only children of less than 13 years of age can see ghosts. As soon as you become a teenager, you stop seeing ghosts.

I woke up early. I hadn't slept all night, wondering how my new school, and more importantly, new classmates and new teachers will be. To pass my time at night, I had been thinking of random facts, like the one above. Okay, don't get me wrong. I do not believe in ghosts, it is just that I am turning 13 soon, and I had looked up facts about teenagers on the internet the day before. Anyway, back to the story.

I had to walk to and back from this school, something I wasn't quite used to, as in my previous school, I used the school bus. The day went well, without any major tragedy as I had expected. I decided to take the long route home, which people rarely used. On the way, I saw a big piece of barren land and it was after some moments I realized it was a graveyard. I had never even seen a graveyard before, let alone visited one.

I was a bit scared to enter but my curiosity got better of me and it was not long before I climbed up a short fence and went inside. The place had somewhat an eerie feeling about it and there was a chill in the air, even though it was not cold. To add to that, I could hear a sound, perhaps sobbing. My legs were moving towards the sound. I saw a girl, aged about 8 or 9 years old, sitting near a grave and crying. Feeling that she must have lost someone close, I went and sat beside her. "What is your name?" I asked her. "Aisha", she replied. We spent the next few minutes sitting in silence. "How old are you?", she asked suddenly. "I am 12 but will be 13 soon, in a week", I replied. "A teenager", Aisha murmured. I asked her about her age. " I was 8 when I...." she stopped mid-sentence. I urged her to complete but all I got was "no..nothing".

After that, I used to stop by every day after school to meet Aisha. We usually spent our time talking about various things. Days passed by. Finally my birthday, 26th June, 2019 arrived. I decided to take some chocolates for Aisha. When I went inside the graveyard, I was surprised to not find her in her usual place. I went beside the grave where she used to sit. Engraved on the tombstone were the letters - " AISHA KHAN 2001-2009 - Died in car accident". I left the place without a word, not really believing my eyes.

When I was returning home the next day, I saw a boy about a year or two younger than me, in the graveyard, talking into thin air.
