THE SHADOW THIEF

A beautiful river, with clean water and flowers all along it also had a kingdom nearby. It was ruled by a loved king and his wife, the queen of the kingdom. The kingdom was quiet and the people lived with peace and harmony, there was no sign of any problem, theft or anything. The people lived happily. But, one day a lady came running to the castle. She wasn’t able to catch her breath. It looked like she had a problem. “Your majesty, a shadow like thing entered my house and took all my goods and gold, please help me.” The woman said trying to catch her breath and wiping off the sweat from her forehead. The king was shocked; “I’ll look forward to this and surely help you in this matter ” the king said and fell into deep thought. That day almost half of the town came with the same complaint. The people named him ‘The Shadow Thief’ .The king sat on a meeting with his wise men and discussed the matter. Every person had his own perspective but the king without impatience hears them silently.

“Let’s make a trap so that the thief gets caught easily” said one of the men. “We can analyze and try to find some clues” said the second. “Why not send the royal detective to find the thief” said the third. The king agreed to the third person and sent the messenger with a letter to the royal detective. As soon as the detective read the message he came running to the king and said “Your majesty, I am ready to go to find the shadow thief and I am responsible to put him behind the bars. This is a matter of our people's well being and the trust they have on us; I will maintain it and I won’t let you down. Permit me.” By saying this he went to his chamber collected all the materials that would be required and went to find the thief. He enquired the people and then went to the jungle to look out for some clues. He found foot prints and some tracks of coins.When he touched the prints he got to know that it was black paint. This made the picture clearer, he had alot of thoughts in his mind 'Maybe, it isn't any shadow but a man or maybe it could be something else. Let me follow these and find out the real matter.' he thought. He followed them and reached to a small cottage. He peeked in and saw two people talking about some big robbery in the kingdom.

The detective opened the door and asked “Who are you? Why are you doing this?” One of the two men stood up and replied "He is the Shadow thief and I help him in the robbery. We do this for justice". "Justice?" asked the detective, the second man came and said “We were the royal messengers of this kingdom. By mistakenly we gave the wrong letter. The king made us slaves but then we poured water on the king’s shoes because we were not used to that job. The king threw us out of the kingdom. We are doing this for JUSTICE”.The detective took them into the castle. “Royal detective!? Do you even know who they are?”The king said angrily. “Yes I do…” the detective explained the whole matter to the king. The king’s head bowed in shame and apologized both of the thieves and the detective. The king again gave them royal jobs and the town again became a place of justice, peace and harmony.
