Dressed in a taffy collar top, I ordered one Sex in the Driveway.

It was a Saturday and as promised to myself, I took myself out for the monthly movie and cocktail date. It was my new year resolution to not rely on anyone else for the things that I love to do: Exploring Cocktails was one of them.

I'm a sweet tooth but with a pinch of madness.

I don't like sweets but I love sugar cubes.

I always go for Vodka and lime cordial because that tastes less like alcohol and more like an escape. Vodka and Frooty are bliss though!

Sex on the Driveway is on the sweeter side of the cocktail and I always go for this because I feel the beach isn't for sex!

I took the first sip and it satisfied my esophagus.

I was sure it wasn't the right thing to pass through the digestive system so I try to stick to one glass of cocktail each month.

As I was sipping my cocktail, the tartness in it triggered something in my mind. The blue color of the cocktail was matching the poignancy of that unlucky week in July 2019 - I lost one Spoken Word Poetry competition, I couldn't do much in an online Story Writing competition, I had to cancel my Coonoor trip, office wasn't making me smile anymore, my brother told me how demotivated he feels in his MBA classes and to top it all - that matrimonial guy I was talking to since May decided to call off the conversations we were having because he won't ever relocate and I'm someone who is not willing to be in Kolkata.

Twenty Nine isn't an easy age. You have so much to look after.

Career, personal space, passion, sibling, parents, and most importantly - your wild dreams. The dreams which soaked you in hope and kept you moving in life. I was twenty-seven when I decided to look after my passion for writing. I thought it needs some attention too.

I took my phone and started browsing for upcoming events, competitions and content writing opportunities. I knew it was going to be hard but I also had my resolutions to look after.

Thoughts were hovering randomly and I was wiping them away with sips of my cocktail.

I requested for the bill, cleared it and soon and got out of the bar when I heard a familiar ringtone -

"But she said, where'd you wanna go?

How much you wanna risk?

I'm not looking for somebody

With some superhuman gifts..."

I flipped my phone only to realize it wasn't mine.

I turned around and I saw the reason for my writing walking in Blue check shirt and off white jeans.

I, broke, a little more.

ख्यालों का शहर

तू जाने तेरे होने से ही आबाद है

हवाएं हक में

वहीं हैं आते जाते जो तेरा नाम लें
