“Its enough… I feel, we should part our ways now…”- this time Alia was calm, seemed like she had lost all of her patience and courage to fight for her right, to prove her innocence.

“Ök, I will talk with my lawyer tomorrow and will take the appropriate action as earliest possible…you don’t worry, whatever will happen will happen for our good only” – Prashant moved to the other room, while saying this in a calm voice.

“Yes, at least we will be able to take a peaceful breath…”- Alia switched off the light to sleep by saying this.

Alia and Prashant were struggling in their failed married life since last one year.

Even though it was a love marriage which had happened just one year and two months back, they started feeling bitterness in their relationship immediately after marriage. The marriage decision between Alia who hailed from Punjab and Prashant who a typical Mom’s boy from Odisha was, was initially a question for both of their families. But, later it was accepted as both the candidates were well educated, settled in their respective jobs, matured, take their own decision of their respective lives and after all if anything goes wrong, then they can stand for themselves…. By thinking so, Mr. Bhalla, the father of Alia had approved the marriage, but it was difficult for Mr. Das to approve the marriage of his only son Prashant with a girl who was not manglik, as he was looking for a manglik girl, being there was a manglik dosha in Prashant’s horoscope. Many suitable proposals were coming from very affluent families, but Mr. Das was not able to convince. At last, he had to agree, thinking that if anything goes wrong, then they can stand for themselves and its good that his tension of searching a good wife for his son would be gone, if this could be already taken care by Prashant.

It was a grand marriage, where no traditional customs should be left behind and a great honeymoon in Europe following this. Life was very beautiful for both Alia and Prashant.

After the honeymoon, they came back to their work location Hyderabad and life started as usual, like before, both were busy in their respective jobs and house work was anyhow managed by domestic helps. One month passed away everything was good. Then, the two sisters of Prashant started closeness with Alia, after all she was the only one Bhabi for them. They started telling what good, right and which custom is should be followed at each festival, as Alia was from different community, was not aware about the tradition of Prashant’s family. Alia started accepting one by one and the expectation from Prashant’s family started growing one by one meeting the same pace, as that fulfilled by Alia. But, at one certain point of time, she became exhausted and brought into Prashant’s notice that further she cannot accept all. Being a Mom’s boy, Prashant could not object against his family’s expectation and kept quiet. Day by day, life became painful for Alia and Prashant, as both were trying to keep them happy but not able to meet each other’s expectations. Demands from Prashant’s family started diverting towards getting Alia’s presence in each festival of the family. Alia being in a very responsible position in her job, it was difficult for her to be present once or twice in the hometown of Prasant. There was no talk between both even for couple of days, because both were thinking to maintain a peaceful life without talking with each other. The dream life for which both had seen a dream had become the worst to live for them. By this time, Mr. Das had already started telling that all these disputes in Prashant’s life is only because of Alia who was not a manglik girl and she was the only responsible person for ruining life of Prashant. As the time passed over, Prashant had also started believing this. When Alia came to know Prashant’s acceptance about this statement, she felt better to part her way from Prashant, at least both could lead a peaceful life.

Divorce was filed by Prashant and after six months it got finalised in a mutual consent.

By seeing the finalized divorce papers, where Alia had put her signature for a statement that due to mutual incompatibility, she decided to move away from Prashant’s life, Mr. Das said “Now, its time to get a proposal who can fulfill my demand… after all the value of my son is 2 crore in the market and how could that cheap Bhalla family get away without paying a single paise of dowry….? By saying that my son was a manglik, actually i was looking for a most affluent bride who could fulfill my demand, but didnt know from where this stupid Alia came and everything became meshed up...after telling so many times also, she could not understand. So i accepted without telling anything and not to take any blame on me but thanks to my daughters who helped me in throwing her out from my Son's life. Now we all are free and the manglik dosha will go only after getting a rich girl for my son….!!!”
