Look at me through those glasses
And tell me about your fantasies
How you'd love to sit in the clouds high
Watch them and time float by

Look at me through those dark eyes
And tell me about your muffled tears
How the world has kept you in silence
And how it swallowed you into the darkness

Look down and remember then
When you could let it all out with a pen
When there were not many monsters to escape
Or blood-curdling fears to evade

Look into that mirror, back at me
Cos me is what you've become
Coward, tired, nerves and lonely
They may say it’s all phoney-baloney.
But there’s no denying it, this is you.
