It's not a successful person, it's a successful team that wins the battle. Truth triumphs trampling the false and the light of goodness defeats the darkness of evil.

Ram, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, had formed his team of Hanuman, vanaras and His brother Laxman to vanquish the demon king Raavan. With the selfless effort of His every member, He had broken the pride of Raavan and saved His wife, Sita Devi. Laxman, the obedient brother had left all his happiness for his brother. Hanuman, the greatest devotee had left all the comforts and provided profound services for Lord's glorification. The staunch Sugreev had deployed all his troop of vanaras to fight against the evil king Raavan. Bhivisan, the devotee even had left his own brother Raavan for the establishment of truth. Unanimously, Ram and His team defeated the puissant demon to save the world from danger.

From constructing the bridge to carrying out His order, each member had worked efficiently for the success of the team.

Proving that it was a successful team, not a successful person that had won the battle of truth and real success, Ram had believed in each of His members and as consequence, He had achieved his mission.

Establishing Bhivisan as the king of Lanka and giving His blessings to King Sugreev and all vanaras, Lord Ram had returned to Ayodhya with wife Sita, brother Laxman and greatest devotee Hanuman.

Celebrating this return of the favorite son, the overwhelmed tenant had welcomed with lights of the lamp.

Since then, people of earth celebrate this day as Diwali lighting the lamp and firing the sparkler.
