Superstition

I was told since childhood that if you are walking on road and a black cat crosses road in front of you then you should either not go forward or take a road diversion to start on a new route or take a U-turn and go back a little and then again take U-turn and start again on your journey. I used to find it bullshit but have to follow if someone is with me.

Once I got a call in the office that my uncle is heavily injured and you have to take him to hospital as soon as possible.

 

I did so but on route, a black cat crosses the road right in front of us and the driver stopped the ambulance and was looking to take another road. I was not sure as I did not saw the cat. He informed me about what has happened. A diversion was meaning another 15-20 minutes added to the uncle’s treatment. I told him to follow the same route and not take any diversion. He tried to tell me about the consequences of it but I ordered him to go straight otherwise my uncle will die, he will be responsible. He murmured that the cat has shown our misfortune. May God bless your uncle! But he followed the straight route.

 

Now you must be wondering about what happened afterward.

 We reached safely in the hospital. My uncle got cured.

 It is been 6 years.
