Eating the whole banana may go a long towards reducing food waste and upping your nutritional intake.


One day I went to my relative's house at Chennai.

I was very shocked to see them eating the whole banana, without peeling of the skin.

Then I asked them how they were able to eat the whole banana without peeling of skin.

Will it digests I asked them. 

They said the entire vitamins other nutritions are available only in the skin. Only in the skin and not in the banana.  Some sages used to eat only the skin and not the banana they said. 

 Then onwards I too used to eat the skin without removing from the banana.

"You will increase your overall fibre content by at least 10 percent as a lot of dietary fibre can be found in the skin of the banana," "You will get almost 20 percent more Vitamin B6 and almost 20 percent more Vitamin C and you will boost both your potassium and magnesium intake."
