It is a story of a 7-year boy Ramu, who lived in a small village with his small family consisting of his younger sister Nandini and his mother Sheela. Ramu was very genius and always wanted to go to School. But because of poor financial condition, his mother didn’t send him to school. To improve the financial condition, his mother sent him to a Town to work in a Dhaba situated near the resort. There Ramu’s job was to clean cups, plates, glasses and almost all the utensils of the Dhaba. These work made Ramu’s hand rough. As the dhaba was near a resort, many foreigners used to come here and it was Ramu’s duty to take the order and serve. As Ramu was genius since birth so he learned various languages a little bit by meeting with different cultured customers.

When he completed his one month there then Dhaba owner gave Ramu his salary. It was Rs.450. Ramu sent that money to his mother through a truck driver who used to pass via that Dhaba. After receiving money, Sheela excited with tearful joy and came to meet Ramu with her 3 years daughter Nandini. After looking at her son Ramu, Sheela felt very happy and said to Dhaba owner to take care of my son as he is the only hopes of my life. After meeting Ramu his mother went back to the village. After a few days, An Australian customer visited the Dhaba where he met with Ramu. After observing Ramu’s activities, he understood that this boy has endeavored to do something big in life and from there he talked to dhaba’s owner and asked him, “I want to teach this child, Will you allow me to carry him to my hometown”? Dhaba owner replied in a loud voice, No It isn’t possible and I will be responsible if he goes missing. I will never allow anyone.

One day Ramu was going through a street in the morning at around 9:00 am, he saw many children going to school. This scenario left a big impression on Ramu and decided to make friendship with a schoolboy. After a few days, he made a friendship with a boy named Raju who was equivalent to his age. They started to pass their time with each other when they get free from their work. As Ramu was a child laborer in the Dhaba so he hardly managed his time to meet his friend. Somehow Ramu asked Raju for his old books and Raju gave his previous-year-old books to Ramu. Ramu became very happy by getting those books and by managing time from his hard dhaba schedule, he gave time to those books.

On the occasion of children day, Raju was going to deliver his speech but because of his fractured hand, he was not capable of writing his speech. So he discussed this matter to Ramu, as Ramu was good in Hindi so he said to Raju, It’s ok I will write a speech for you and you will deliver the same speech. After waking whole night Ramu prepared a speech for Raju and gave to him. When Raju delivered the speech in his school everyone became very emotional and Raju got first prize for his speech. Actually, the speech contained the story of thousands of boy like Ramu.

After coming to home Raju told everything to his family members about Ramu. Raju’s family members were sensitive and he understood that we should take care of such children who want to take education but because of some obstacle, they cannot take education. And Finally, Raju’s father called Ramu and admitted him in the school along with his son Raju and from that day both started to live like brothers.
