Craving

Kabeer asked Meher if she could make laddoos for him, as for a last couple of days, he was having a strong craving to eat that.

 “You know, how much I am busy these days. Why don’t you buy it from some Sweets shop.”

“But that won’t taste as good as yours. You know, I love laddoos that you prepare.”

“There is a new sweets corner, opened in the next sector. I have heard good feedback about that. You should try that.”

“No way! I enjoy only those laddoos that you prepare.”

“Please try to understand Kabeer, I hardly get any time, I have a lot of workloads these days.”

That really annoyed Kabeer, “For you, only your work is important. Do I exist in your life?”

“Stop behaving this way Kabeer.”

After a few days, Meher planned to work late night that day, so that she gets some time next day to prepare laddoos fro Kabeer. She knew how much he relished laddoos.

With so much work still left to do, and such a little sleep she had last night, it was not easy for her to prepare the laddoos, but with all her love and efforts, she prepared yummy laddoos for him and started waiting for him.

“He will certainly like it. It will be a good surprise for him.”

It was evening. Kabeer came back from work. He looked happy, told her “See, what I brought today, laddoo from that new shop, you talked about. I tasted it there, it’s really good. You were right.”

Meher was speechless.
