Durga Puja

DURGA PUJA!!! A festival which every bengali waits for throughout the year be it the joy of shopping for new clothes, gorging over delicious food or celebrating in full spirit from satami to Doshomi. But is it so 

Is this festival only for "Bengalis"

NO a big NOOOO 

I AM A NON BENGALI and I am fr west bengal and I am born n brought up there and the feeling of being away from home sucks

Nobody cares if every girl is wearing the same outfit on Ashtami but every girl out there will for surely opt for a white saree with a red border. You need not seek permission for your late night outings on Durga Puja because sab maaf hai during these five days. I miss each and every thing about this festival 

The sound of the dhaks, that uluuuuuu ulluuuu voice which is heard everywhere and of course we people always wonder how they roll their tongue n make that voice but whatever it sounds amazing!!!

The pandals ahhhaaa they are so beautifully decorated one would definitely skip a beat if they happen to see those pandals

 BUT where everyone else is enjoying their holidays busy clicking pictures wearing colourful dresses posting it on social media and here i am struggling with the same old stuff college to the hostel and going off to sleep that's it

It has been 4 years I haven't seen Durga puja 

And I wonder whether I ll be able to see it or not in the coming years 

But trust me if one wishes to see how actually festivals are celebrated 

One must visit WEST BENGAL 

And TRUST ME, my friend, you would thank me for your entire life and you would never regret visiting Bengal. It would be one of your finest memories which you would cherish for your entire life!!!
