Chapter 14

John said "I can't believe it's you, I have been Searching for you everywhere but I never expected to see you here in this resort! Why, why are you not talking to me Roslyn?" asked John. "Are you still upset with me?" but he got no response."Talk to me Roslyn please, you can punish me, punish me in the cruelest way but please talk to me" John pleaded. "If you are not talking to me then I will punish myself" he took a burning log of wood from the campfire and said "I will burn my hand"."What are you doing?!?" a voice yelled at John and took the wood away from his hands." John looked at the person, he didn't know who it was, "looks like you are too drunk, please get back to your room"; said the man... "yes I am drunk but I do have control on myself, I was just talking to her but she isn't talking to me, she is upset with me, please tell her to talk to me" said John. "who are you talking to?, I don't see anyone here" replied the man, "oh she is sitting here", he pointed his finger towards where she was sitting but Roslyn was not around, John panicked "oh I let her go again, no this can't happen! how do I find her now?!" Panicked John, my "dear friend I have been noticing you since you came sat in front of the campfire, you were talking alone, there was no one here other than you". "But I saw her! she is still angry", replied John in confusion. "Maybe that's your imagination, looks like you love her a lot and that is why you see her everywhere" replied the man. "No she loved me the most but I..I gave her only pain" cried John with tears rolling down his cheeks. "What is your room number," asked the man "505" replied John, the man gently guided John to his room and said "get into your room, ask sorry to her and sleep peacefully" John thanked the man and walked into his room. 

He looked at his wife, she was in deep sleep he hit the bed and shut his eyes, but how could he sleep he was so disturbed for missing Roslyn again, he realized she is still upset with him but he was wondering why the man said that there was no one there, he ignored it and decided to search for Roslyn again in the morning... As he was tired and drunk, John slept soon.

John opened his eyes, it was bright outside he looked at the clock time was 8:15 am, he remembered seeing Roslyn last night, so he decided to search for her in the resort... Jency came from the washroom and sat beside him wishing him good morning, John wished her back and asked "where are the kids?"."They got ready and went out to play" replied Jency. "Hmm you seem to be very happy today," asked John who was still lying down in the bed. Jency placed her head on his chest and said: "yes John, I am feeling so good today, it may be because we spent much time talking to each other". Holding her hand John said I" am sorry for not spending enough time with you these days, hell lot of work at office and by the time I reach home I will be exhausted so I just go to sleep". "that's ok, doesn't matter if you spent time with me or not, I know how much you love me" she said looking up at him as she was resting her head on his chest, John looked into her eyes and said "thank you for understanding me" and the kids started screaming from behind the door "mummy open the door" and they started knocking" Jency was a little irritated with this interruption "I can't even spent 5 minutes alone with you" huffed Jency, John laughed out saying "let's plan another trip just you and me and there will be no disturbance", he then kissed her hand and said "now go open the door" and he walked into the washroom. Ziya said, "mummy all are ready, Pavithra aunty told me to check if you are ready", Jency said "tell aunty daddy is..."; but kids had no patience they ran away saying, "you tell aunty ma we will go play"... "John I will go meet Pavithra you come later," said Jency, "okay! Jency if you see Sandeep send him here" replied John. Jency closed the door and walked out.

John took shower and came out, he saw Sandeep walking in, "dude we have planned to visit Kullu today, let's have breakfast and start immediately," said Sandeep." Sure we will but before that, I have another important work" said John. "What is it?" asked Sandeep... John exclaimed he saw Roslyn in the resort so he wanted to search for her, Sandeep had no trust in John's words, he enquired again "are you sure you saw Roslyn?"." Yes I did dude, come let's search for her" said John. "How will you search for John? Knocking on each room in the resort?" That won't work dude, let's do this, we will go straight to the reception, we anyway have her photo let's check with that" said Sandeep. "That's really a very good idea Sandeep come on let's go," said John and they both walked to the reception. They showed her photo in the reception and enquired but the receptionist said "no sir I don't think she stays here, we have not seen her", "but I saw her last night" argued John, "not possible sir none of us have seen her, anyone who stays in this resort have to cross the reception for entry or exit and we have never seen her" John was about to reply when Sandeep interrupted "thank you for the information madam" gave her a fake smile and pulled John from there... "Tell me what exactly happened last night," asked Sandeep with a stern face. John told him where he saw her, what he spoke and how the stranger said he was talking alone, Sandeep said "it's crystal clear that it was just your imagination John, now don't start off with the Roslyn story again all are ready and waiting for us let's go" and John walked with him in confusion.

Everyone finished their breakfast and started their journey to Kullu, they visited a famous temple in Kullu and few other beautiful places, after enjoying the beauty of nature they returned to the resort at 7 in the night.

They had planned to check out early in the morning but before that, they decided to spend some time chatting with each other, kids got busy playing and all three couples sat down talking... Alice asked Jency "is yours love marriage?" , Jency said "no it's an arranged marriage" Pavithra interrupted "she is asking this question because her's was a love marriage" . "oh really" exclaimed Jency. "yes, love from school days" replied Alice. "that's nice, tell me your story dude" asked John "it's a little funny, I was a pencil robber at school, I kept stealing pencils from everyone's boxes, complaint went to the teacher but they didn't know who was stealing them, once Alice caught me red handed I thought she was going to tell on me, I was so scared but she never did.. that's how I fell for her", said Charles blushing as he said it. John and Jency who heard the story for the first time burst out with loud laughter. Charles continued "in that tender age I thought if I marry her she will never question me on anything but now" and Alice pinched him hard, looking at Alice he said "I meant now I am happy with my decision honey" wincing in pain. Alice said "yes, even I can't believe the one who stole my pencil also somehow stole my heart", both Charles and Alice kept looking at each other, Sandeep cleared his throat louder and said "we all are here", Alice's cheeks turned bright red. Alice tried to change the subject, she said "we all know about Sandeep and Pavithra's story tell us yours" asked Alice to Jency.
