Let me tell you an experience I had as a young teenager, which changed my entire life all at once. It was a very traumatizing circumstance and still haunts me. I was walking home with my friends after a tiring day at school, we had to conduct a carnival for the younger kids. I have to admit, it was not as irritating as it sounds. I usually go home by quarter to 4, but my instincts told me to stay a little longer, so I did, which I strongly regret now.

After what I thought was 5 minutes, I looked at the time. It was 4:45. I didn't know time can fly so fast. I told my friends I had to go home or my mom would be worried sick. I darted home, and on the way, something caught my eye, I stopped abruptly and took a few steps back. It was a bright, colorful, shiny chest with a lot of detailed designs. It looked exotic! I looked around myself, no one was there! So, I moseyed closer to the chest and decided to take a look into it. As soon as I touched it a beam of glistening, blinding light struck out of it, in a matter of seconds everything was pitch black. I heard someone murmur in the dark, they said ‘I have been expecting to see you sooner or later’.

At that very moment, many conspicuous patterns started appearing all around me. So many questions were racing through my mind. I was so confused, slowly there was a dim light and someone stepped into the light, I still remember how she looked. She wore all black leather clothes and had long blond hair, she walked closer to me and gave me a deathly stare. I was petrified, the lady pointed towards a door and said ‘That's the only way to get out of this place, but if you don’t get out in time you have to work under the control of Mr.Armad for the rest of your life’, she smirked and walked away. I didn't want to argue with her because she seemed deathly. I thought to myself about what she had said, it sounded like I had a time limit, so I started walking toward the door.

I saw a giant hand right behind me, it was almost twice the size as me. I got startled and ran, it started chasing me I was about to faint, I mustered up all my strength and ran desperately towards the door. I hit something while running and fell face first, I quickly looked up to see what was in my way, I saw nothing I hit thin air and fell. I felt a tug on my foot, I turned around and saw the hand. It had caught my foot, I kicked it and threw my shoe at it, I got back up and sprinted towards the door. I couldn't believe it, I was at the door. I tried to pull the door open but it would not open, I looked back and saw the hand racing towards me I tried to push the door open but it didn't open. The door was locked, the hand didn't seem so fast anymore. Just then I realized that I was at the point of no return, everything happens so fast, yet I didn't give up, I tried to burst open the door. It didn't open, the hand was right behind. I leaned my back against the door hoping it would open any second, suddenly I fell backward and I lost consciousness.

When I woke up I was outside laying on the lush green grass. I knew I had escaped. Luckily I knew where I was, I rushed home and hugged my mom. My mom started to cry, she told me she was so agonized when I didn't come home. She asked me what had happened, I told her everything I knew, but she didn't believe me. Instead of consoling me she told me I need to go to the psychiatrist. I denied for a very long time but no matter what I said my mom dragged me to the psychiatrist. The doctor said there was nothing wrong with me it was just my vivid imagination and told me I could become an amazing author. I didn't agree with him, but I couldn't do anything about it. But trust me, it's not my imagination.
