Gulmohar

The fiery red flowers on the Gulmohar tree caught her attention instantaneously. The daily grind of life led to accumulation of so much dust on the wonderful memories of the golden period. Lucknow the city of Nawabs had welcomed the family with open arms, after all its own daughter had come back with her flourishing brood, the warmth of the city, the old age charm and the mannerisms everything was so inviting. Like a tiny bird flies endlessly to gather twigs, sticks and most unpredictable things she can find, carefully weaving it to make a safe haven for her unborn, guarding them from the predators even in her thoughts.

The household was being settled, memories and belongings being unpacked routines being settled. She stood in one corner lonely and lost unable to comprehend the changing scenario. The adults being busy to earn the bread, not even a single friend to call her own the shy girl would fall sick every other day. A middle class household trying to find ground beneath their feet and making an effort to make the ends meet, settling an introvert child was becoming a cause of concern. But as they say your parenting has to be as unique as your child. Hustle bustle of the children on the street attracted the care giver towards them. He knew his girl needs the warmth of friends back in her life. His resources were limited but love boundless. Within few hours, there was hustle bustle under the Gulmohar tree. The industrious parents made swings on the branches of the Gulmohar which attracted children from far and near. His little introvert girl found many companions. And an important lesson; change is the essence of life.
