In Loving Memory Of 'Deepak'
In Loving Memory Of 'Deepak'
Deepak
True to your name,
Like a bright flame;
Illuminated around,
With the warmth of your heart;
Extending help to one and all.
Your name-n-fame
Spread far and wide;
Parents, friends, siblings
wife and lovely kids.
Reasons to rejoice and feel proud,
That they belonged to you,
And you to them.
But nature had something else in store
Ill health took its toll
Life came to a halt
'Blood Cancer' docs declared.
Valiently fought for five years
With positivity to surpass it all.
In the last six months,
As you all resided on the ground floor.
In the same building as mine.
Various impressions held me spellbound
Marvelled at the strength of that vivacious smile
I do not know the connect, but it was there for sure
For we chanted fervently, your mother and I
Wife... kids... and everyone else... for your long life.
As time passed, with hollow eyes,
Cheating everyone with fake smiles;
Assuring all "Don't worry, I'll be fine".
Then everything came to a naught,
When life suddenly snuffed out,
Just two days before at midnight.
Body blackened, left behind,
While soul made its eternal journey;
To the ethereal divine zone.
It is said, life is eternal and so are prayers
May they all be virtues into your next life.
