I said no to pay for my write-ups to get recognized.

Today, I received a call where a guy was saying hey, Shraddha Pandey Congratulations!! You've been selected for the nominee of the year for the best writer award during Covid19.

I felt esctasic and started asking more information. 

Then, he told me about my work their team has selected to make me one of the nominees. 

I was happy and excited. 

He then, started talking about my social media followers like LinkedIn(18k), Quora(4.1k with 5.6million views), Instagram (7.2k), Facebook(5k friends and 2.3k followers).

I was happy again.

After abundant of applauses he directly came to the point and said- we are giving 25% discount.

I said- for what?

Then he said for the best writer award.

I asked- Why would I best for my work to get recognized especially when I have a huge audience who admires me.

He replied-

Mam, that's why we are giving you discount of 25% and you just need to pay 10, 000 INR and not 15k.

I laughed and said-thank you for reminding me again for the audience that I have earned.

I am not going to pay a single penny to get this award.

And 

I disconnected the call.
