A SISTER OR A BUSINESS WOMAN?

Harry, an unassuming boy of 7, studying in a convent school, staying in a middle class family of Hindus, had politician parents. He could not make girlfriends because his mother was abusive towards him and supportive of his younger sister and he could not make male friends because his father was abusive towards him. He loved his younger sister very much. Her name was Kamini. She studied in an all-girls school. Since the parents were conservative, they did not let Kamini and her brother support each other. Harry had a problem of wanting to have sex after eating food. He was unaware of this deficiency of his in his early life. His parents knew his problem therefore, they were not confident about his behavior with his younger sister. They felt he would have sex with her. This affected all relationships of Harry. He could not make friends in school, nor could he forge a strong bond with his younger sister.

Harry came to know of his deficiency only after his father passed away. This was when he began understanding himself. He was well educated and modern in outlook; however, his parents were conservative in thinking. Therefore, he felt like a prisoner in his house. He would feel more at ease in his school and college than he felt at home. He completed his schooling by masturbating looking at his teachers. He started paying money in his house and in return, he got food and a place to rest when he was not working.

During this time, his bosses exerted a lot of work pressure on him, the reason for which he was unaware of. Due to the work pressure, he began wanting to earn more. But, it did not occur to him that he can talk to his bosses. His bosses were trying to give him responsibility but he did not take it up because he was feeling that his present salary was very low. He wanted them to increase his salary first and then he would take up additional responsibility. This created a discord between him and his boss. He was kicked out of his first job for this reason. Meanwhile his younger sister married and went to her husband's place. On the day of her marriage, Harry wept a lot because he loved her more than he loved his parents. Both of them were romantic in nature. They could have supported each other and forged a very strong bond between themselves.

However, their parents played politicians between the two of them and therefore, that could not happen. After her sister's departure, Harry started feeling lonely. His mother noticed this and decided to get him married. Both the parents exerted a lot of pressure on him to get married. At the time of his marriage, his salary was a meager Rs 10,000 a month, which he felt was not enough for him to take up additional responsibility. However, they were in a hurry to wash off their hands of his responsibility and therefore his father took a loan from a relative and married him off. Harry married and went for a honeymoon with his new wife. The couple clubbed their own money together and enjoyed their honeymoon. Harry told himself that they would enjoy well thinking that they should make hay while the sun shines. Harry liked traveling to new locations. He was a travel buff.

Harry had done civil engineering because his relatives were in the same field. However, when they did not value his services, he started working in the industry. But, he could not make his mark in the competitive industry because his parents had kept him at home during his formative years. This prevented him from cultivating virtues like good interaction skills, good negotiation skills, etc. Moreover, they abused him while they paid his fees. This angered Harry no end and he did not share his earnings with his parents. Therefore, they started dominating him. This made him very timid. His parents were paper tigers. However, his dominating by his parents made him very strong. This strength came to the fore when a friend abused him, on the day of his father's death.

He had called his friend up that morning because he lived closest to him and he had lost a male member of his family and therefore he needed a male's support. However, after that abuse, he decided to break relations with that friend. After his younger sister's departure from the household, Harry became alone. When she was there, she supported the family and her parents did not have to work outside. Harry was a team worker and therefore he could not take the responsibility of running the house on his own. Therefore, when his parents threw the responsibility of running the household expenses on him, he decided to agree to the match and take his new wife's support so that he did not have to take all the pressure. In addition, after his younger sister's departure he needed someone who could think about his well-being. His wife proved equal to the task. However, she could not overcome his mother's threat.

Harry's mother was a politician. She played the same game between Harry and his new wife that she had played between him and his younger sister. Therefore, he took up a job in a new location and took a house on rent there. He decided to stay with his new wife there so that he could build a strong bond with her. He did build a strong bond with her. However, that bond was short-lived. Harry's relatives did not like their happy life and they created a rift between him and his new wife. They were jealous of them spending their money eating out and enjoying themselves because they themselves had liabilities and they wanted Harry and his wife to fulfill them from their salaries. Therefore, Harry lost his first girlfriend and wife through a misunderstanding. At this time, Harry needed his sister very much because he wanted to talk about his feelings to a female member.

He talked with his sister-in-law, who incidentally was the one whose family had broken the marriage. She misled him and he thought his first wife and her family had used him. He realized that he was being cheated therefore, unknown to his mother, he began wishing his younger sister a happy birthday because he needed her help. However, she was fighting with her own problems and therefore could not pay attention to Harry and his problems. Harry had not dated anyone before his first wife and therefore he did not know a woman's behavior too well, but he had understood his first wife enough to advise her for her well-being. He did not directly talk to her but he sent her emails. Meanwhile he decided to renew his ties with his sister and he let her and her husband into his house so that he could talk to his sister.

However, he wanted to talk to his sister in the absence of his mother and that was not possible because his younger sister was battling her own demons. She was a banker and Harry decided to give her his banking details so that he could concentrate on earning money and leave the management of his money to her. However, she did not accept the responsibility. Then Harry started doing his own banking because he did not trust his mother with his money. Harry's parents were profligate spenders while he had started at a meager salary and therefore he was very frugal in his expenses. However, he was still looking at ways and means to renew his ties with his younger sister. He was unsuccessful. Sensing his trouble, his ex-wife started helping him in fulfilling his goal. She decided to help him get a job with her reference so that she could get him to start earning for himself while she began talking with his younger sister, who was more or less the same age as she was, to talk to him.

She had given Harry a divorce because she had sensed his agony after marrying her. Therefore, she wanted him to be happy. However, for Harry, his first girlfriend had broken the trust he had imposed in her. Harry's trust on females had waned after his divorce and therefore, he put out a post on a popular social media site for female friends so that he could get back his trust of females to marry once again. He had given his all to his first marriage and when it ended in a divorce, he was devastated. After his sister's departure, he had loved his wife very much and when she ditched him, he was heart-broken. For three continuous years, Harry kept on wishing his younger sister happy birthday on her birthday, but, he could not muster up enough courage to tell her that he wanted her support. He could not tell her that he wanted to talk to her.

However, he did not want to force his woes onto her, as he knew that he was now married. Therefore, he waited for her to open out to him. He did not trust females enough to take the initiative to open out to her. He wanted her to take the initiative. He had taken the first step to wish her a happy birthday and he wanted her to take a step towards him. After four years of this, his sister, who had also started distrusting males, took her first step towards her brother. Her trust in males was broken therefore; she could not understand her brother's advances towards her. Finally, his first wife facilitated the discussion between the two and ended the deadlock that had lasted for four years. She arranged a meeting between the two in a resort, which belonged to her employer.

She wanted that the two spend time together and talk to each other at length. She decided to do this because she had realized that she had committed a grave error in divorcing her husband. The meeting took place; the brother and sister spend five days together in a resort in Rajasthan and forged a new relationship. The sister talked him out of the divorce and got them remarried again. The couple was united with the support of the sister. His sister was managing her own business and wanted her brother to operate her business and therefore she had harassed him in his jobs. However, when she heard her brother's tale of woe, the sister in her won against the businessperson. She decided to be a SISTER and not a BUSINESSPERSON.
