Every single day, Granny Anupa would try a new recipe which she would share with the whole village. Her recipes were luscious. She had a positive attitude. One sunny morning as she was worshiping Ganpati, an idea struck her, “What an idea lord Ganpati has given me! Thank you my lord!”

She thought, “This time I must keep this recipe that has come in my mind secret. Agasthya is the only one who can help me make this recipe”.

Agasthya was a great person. She loved every one. She was a 15-year-old girl. She was mature and understood the solution to day to day problems. Often people elder then her would come to her for solutions to their problems. Her character was boisterous.

“Agasthya, should we make it with chocolate or fruits?” asked Anupa.

“Granny! If we are making it for children of course chocolate!” answered Agasthya.

“I’m sure this Ganpati festival is going to be full of chocolates!!” exclaimed Anupa.

The recipe they both were making was secret for the whole village. It was a surprise for all the children of the village. Anupa took a few chocolate beans from the cocoa tree near Agasthya’s house. Her ingredients were some chocobeans, almonds, cashews and some milk. Once they finished making the chocolate syrup, Anupa smelt it and said, “Mmmm……What an amazing aroma! This dish will surely be palatable!”

Agasthya said, “Let’s start with the fun part!!”

They both started sculpting a figurine of lord Ganesh out of the frozen chocolate syrup. Finally they finished. It looked beautiful. Anupa had been a sculptor when she was young. She taught some of the rules of sculpting to Agasthya as she made the perfect murti (statue) of Ganesha.

Agasthya was excited. She knew the children were going to love their chocolate statue. Anupa took her walking stick and started walking out of her house with Agasthya who held the Chocolate Ganesh to the Temple. As they reached, all the people who had gathered for Ganesh Chaturthi looked flabbergasted and stared the murti beautifully made of chocolate and cashews. Shruti, a little sweet girl said, “Wow, Anupa Dadi (granny), What a beautiful Ganpati! Ganpati Bappa Morya!!”

“Wow!” cried all the children.

All the villagers first did a Puja (ritual) on the ganpati and then gave each piece of it to each child to eat. They kept money near the statue to show their gratitude to Anupa for creating such excellence for them throughout the years. Anupa used this money to organise programs for all to celebrate festivals that the village could not save money to celebrate. The villagers were very happy.
