A Story About Never Giving Up

My train was late when I was returning from Kanpur so I had to wait. That’s why I went to the passenger waiting room. I sat there and an uncle in his early 50s caught my attention. At first, I did not notice him properly after a few minutes I saw him and got shocked. I saw that he had no legs and it was not looking like Polio or any other disability.

I guessed that the man has lost his legs in an accident.

I asked my father “ Should I ask him how did it happen?

Father- Yes, go ask

I went to him and I asked uncle can I ask something if you don’t mind?

(And the conversation went like this)

He- Yes ask,

Me- Uncle, How did it happen?

He- (In a loud voice). I am a railway staff. I was cleaning the railway track in 2002 and a train accident made me handicapped for the rest of my life.

Me- (I had no words to say and also I did not ask more questions) I only asked uncle can I take a photo of yours.

He- What will you do?

Me- Nothing, I just want to take.

Uncle even told, it took two years for recovery. He also showed his hands where he had an injury.

That incident which has faced by the made me think that life is not so easy as we take. We have to keep moving, keep fighting no matter what. And this is the truth of life.

Then we left the place!

Also this is the story which keeps motivate me all the time.
