The Monkeys Go Fasting

A group of monkeys decide to go on a fast one day. They thought that before they should begin they should keep the food with which they'll break the fast ready.

The monkeys nodded their heads in agreement. They collected delicious-looking bananas. Then they divided bananas amongst them. Then they decided to peel them off, so that they are ready to eat. They agreed but decided not to eat it before evening.

Then a small monkey asked if they could keep the banana in their mouth? But promised not to eat it till evening.

They all agreed to it, so that they could chew it as soon as they break the fast. As long as they don't eat it, it should be fine, everyone thought. So, the monkeys put the bananas in their mouths.

One by one they eyed each other uncomfortably as they began their fast - and as you can imagine, within no time at all, the bananas disappeared down their gullets.

And that was the end of their fast!
