My Angel

"Mom, I read about angels today" said the seven-year-old.

"Uh-huh and what did you read" asked his mother smiling.

The boy replied, "They look after us, care for us, love us unconditionally, guide us through our problems, show us the right path. They stand by us."

His mother listened to him attentively and nodded her head in agreement.

"You are my Angel mom" said the boy smiling with a twinkle in his eyes. His mother's sweet laughter echoed in the room and she kissed him on the cheek sweetly.

Some decades later, a man stood at the terrace of a building, looked at the stars and exclaimed,

"You're still my Angel mom!"
