"Ugh! I'm getting so bored here" - I shouted in helplessness looking at my mom . "Come with me today"- my grandma said. Suddenly thoughts of 'should I or not' started emerging in my mind. But without wasting my time I said let's go granny. She goes for a walk every evening and that's what she was asking me to join her with. Grandma's life has been very struggling, talking about her life she says she got married at the age of 16 and that time too she was considered very old to get married. "People would say she's very old why didn't you wed her before? To my parents" - she says. They lived in hilly areas of Uttrakhand and after few years came down to plains with her husband, mother in law and 2 daughters and 2 sons. Life wasn't easy for her, when she was in her 30's her husband died and soon few months after that her eldest soon too. At this point when life was miserable for her being a house wife it's very difficult to manage your family. Even for the family it's not easy to hold on. In these circumstances all load was upon his younger son, my dad. He did struggle and struggle and finally after 10-12 years managed to grow a business and a renowned name in politics too, who is respected and adored by everyone here. "Lets go beta, where's my stick ?" A voice from behind disrupted my thoughts. It was grandma, I looked at her and smiled. She has got that face of an innocent kid yet so strong. Her struggle has made her calm and a person with a very gentle voice who never gets tired even at the age of 80. "Here it is granny c'mon". And we headed towards the gate.
