The Story of a Baby Crow

While the whole world is in a lockdown due to the Covid19 pandemic and where there are upteem news about the various challenges faced by humans, the story of a baby crow brings that ray of hope that God is still watchful over us and will take care of us in times like these.

Being at home most of the time now, I found out that just right in front of my bedroom balcony, a crow was building a nest on a large Gulmohar tree. It kept me engaged for a few days where I watched the efforts of the crow who picked small sticks and ensured that the nest balances well between those branches...A few days later, I saw 2 little beaks which consoled me that the crow had 2 babies.

Now yesterday, an unfortunate incident happened... One of the baby crows, probably trying to attempt its feat at flying, got deflected due to imbalance and got stuck into a neighboring flat window with grills...Now this flat on the 1st floor had just a very little place where the baby crow could sit.. Any attempt to come out would lead to the baby crow falling on the concrete road.. The parent crow tried to find some ways of getting it out... But with no idea of how to make her baby fly, I presume it was not sure... Whole of yesterday, the baby crow had no food nor water... It tried to open its wings but couldn't go more than 1 ft.... I saw the parent crow leaving her nest and sitting on another branch from where it could view her baby crow which was stuck...A very sad sight to see.. We discussed at home about the possibilities of the fate of the baby crow. Would it die? Or Was there any way baby crow could be rescued... Thinking about this, we went to bed

So today since morning, we've been keeping a close watch on this... There were no signs of any new developments since morning but yeah towards noon I saw the parent crow trying to get some food and give it to her baby... By evening the baby gathered a little courage and managed to take a small jump and sit on the grill... But now it fears. Fear of falling down.. The baby crow has been sitting there for the past 6 hours with no movements... While I don't know what would happen tomorrow but know that when God could give her the strength to take that jump... it would help her to fly and come back to her nest... However, large the challenges are, know that there is someone watching over us however little we maybe....
