Swapping Soulmates...

"I will never let another person ever to knock my heart." I said, with my watery eyes to my best friend ever, my soulmate and the one with whom I grew up. Living without her was a nightmare for me, I had survived being away from her parents just because of my best friend, but now we were told that another girl would be coming to share their room... promises were being made before the arrival of another girl, "you are my mate and will be forever, without any question, and that's universal," we hugged each other tightly.

Another girl was the long distance sister of mine and I was being repeatedly told by my parents to take care of her, as she was new to the place. I was convinced, the inner me wasn't. I was not good at handling strangers, and my parents never knew the depth of my friendship with her.

In school some of the colleagues once made fun of my dusky skin. It was her who went straight to them to ask whether which one of them was prince Charles. Her guts touched my heart. She wasn't too rude with people. For the first time I saw such behavior of her, I was pleased to know that it was for me. My emotionally inexpressive behavior couldn't let me express it to her that how blessed I was to see such a thing happen for me. Oh, that didn't even matter at that time. We were small and life was cool, but we became friends for life.

And today this new girl wants to share room with us. Well, it doesn't even matter, when we have such a strong bond. The strongest!! Well, the day came and she entered our hostel. Fair, too fair I would say, polite and beautiful voice. She came with her mom. I greeted her mother and welcomed her in our room. She very sweetly inquired about the hostel and the academics. We liked her. But still we were firm at our decision to not weaken our bond....
