I May Be A Little Different!
I May Be A Little Different!
Mom, I would hold your hand
But then I have to get ready for the world
To face it in any way,
Trust me, Mom, on each step
I will learn gradually as I need
To find my own way.
Like my peers, I may not be talented
My progress may be slow
My achievements may not be there,
But your care, Almighty and my efforts
Very soon you will see
I may not require that extra care.
When I look in your eyes
I see fear and anxiety and uncertainty,
But with your care and guidance
I am sure I will overcome
My abnormality.
Mom, I am forlorn and my heart cries
Also, I feel isolated and at times
Disturbed too,
But I try to sharpen my memory
With those gadgets, you bought for me,
To better to do.
Sometimes you face the situations
Very hard, seeing me struggling with
The obstacles in my way,
But have faith, your love, sincerity, care
From my life will roll
The dark clouds away.
God is there and so is His kingdom,
He has sent you to replace
Him in my life,
This anguish, anxiety, He will cut
With His divine knife.
You don’t lose courage
Don’t worry about my future,
I will gain beyond measures
With your love, intense care
And the ways you nurture.
Mom, let us fight
The odds of my destiny
As I am not special,
My needs are a little different
For sure we will overcome
My hidden disability
and cut this time, crucial.
I may be unique or a little different
Or like that of a special one,
Have faith in me, give me some space and time
I will change for sure and
You will be delighted then.
