Father Time

Time is a paradox.

The spawn of Gaea and Uranus.

Time is mighty Kronos.

The sire of Hestia, Demeter and Hera. Of Hades, Poseidon and Zeus.

Time gobbles up its own spawn.

Beginning with the miniscule second to the mighty eon.

Time is the greatest healer and inflicts pain as well.

Time is a teacher too and always reiterates the same old tale.

In learning do we teach, and in teaching do we learn. 

Time has taught us to farm, and cook, and toil and earn.

Time teaches us to remember and forget.

Time however has no button to reset.

Time is like a running river. No man crosses the same river twice.

Time is also like the bottomless ocean, where some possibilities always arise.

Time is what we spare for our family or a friend.

Time is also what we are not left with in the end.

Father Time carries the sickle. Life hurries alongside in a trickle.
