My Version Of Happiness

On the breakfast table ... May 18, 2019

A bright sunny morning,

Full of laughter and sunshine.

Varanasi a city with holy vibes,

On the bank of Ganges riverside,

Up in the clouds are random images,

In the river deep down sun rays pierces.

Something happened in few seconds, 

The going is tough and soft options beckon,

I explored happiness in my version. 

It wasn't easy.....

To drown out all the expectations of someone and exist in this world.

To drown out the ways in which someone told me how to live, love and smile.

To drown out all the pain and embrace the memories which once I cherished on the whole.

To drown out the hope of having an unconditional lovable friendly connection. 

It wasn't that difficult too....

To recognize what truly ignites my heart and soul.

To grab what matters to me most and hold me up to the shore.

To acknowledge what drives me to love myself more. 

Amidst all such not easy and some difficult things,

There's something that made me sing.....

I can't stop myself, 

To hope!

To care!

To trust and smile with a wink!

This turned my loss into the lesson,

I crossed my fingers for forgiveness,

And explored my version of happiness, 

On the bank of river Ganges,

I found my version of happiness.
