A Special Wish

When I go down the memory lane

I don’t so much remember the pain

But the Happiness and Joy

To know ‘It’s a Girl ‘(Not a Boy)

I was so Grateful to God

Who gave me you, My Baby Girl

My Daughter, My friend forever

So active and clever

Used to sleep peacefully at night – No Never

After a year of sleepless nights,

Me and your Daddy having numerous fights

Our girl had turned one

And was smiling bright

Pearl like Teeth Shining in

Curly hair flowing here and there

You were the naughtiest two year old anyone had ever seen

But all was forgiven because

You were also the cutest that had ever been

Another year had passed by, Curly hair had to go

But without any hue and cry,

Our Princess turned 3 soon

At her Birthday party, she was over the moon

Soon you started school

While others were crying, you were so calm and cool

Chatting all day long with your Best friend

Phonetics were a little difficult to comprehend

Always eager to learn more

Very happily you had turned four

You enjoyed all our attention with no one else to bother

But now the time had come to welcome your little brother

So elated to see this new life

The big sister had now turned five

Year six and seven were all the more exciting, and mirthful

You relished every moment with new friends in new school

And made most of your time in the English city of Liverpool

With diverse interests like swimming, dancing, writing and sports

Managing time was not easy

And being your lucky parent we were always kept busy

So that was about year eight and nine

Our confident little star was there to shine

Transition from single digit to double

Was more of adventure and less of trouble

Poetry writing was a passion

Surprising us every day with a new creation

Practicing new dance moves 24x7

That is how we enjoyed year ten and eleven

Today you have turned twelve

We, as parents are proud of ourselves

May this preteen year brings more fun and excitement

And every day you experience moments of enlightenment

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARLING!!!
