SHE HAS ARRIVED

Rain washed away

chalk boundary lines

drawn to confine her

spirit frothing inside.

'Cheers"! ...she said

and fizzed outside

raising a toast

to womankind

to meet their

mixture of gin and vodka

chased down with lemon

full of her

effervescence

Sweet as that

glass of brandy

warms up downed spirits

Perfect antidote

to spread positiveness

As a snifter of cognac

with its myriad flavours

calms the senses

And on a warm sunny day

chilled mug of beer

she represents

dunking many sorrows

in the froth that accumulates

on the brim of life's cup

She empties and refills

with happiness

All you out there

take cognizance

she has finally arrived

so forget about dampening
